Standard Life appointed MSD as their signage designers for a number of reasons. Chief among them was our proven ability to get the job done in a fixed timescale combined with our unrivalled technical knowledge and resources. MSD’s relationship with Merson Group’s manufacturing division, Merson Signs, gave it access to invaluable construction design expertise, enabling the design of each signage item to be optimised for production.
With this being a high-profile rebrand involving some of the UK’s foremost design companies working across all media, we knew our work was being held up against the very best in each field and it was ultimately acknowledged to be of the highest order. Due to its immediate and highly tangible impact, the signage was viewed as one of the most critical aspects of launching the new brand.
MSD’s contribution to the overall process, and its work on this very specialised part of the rebrand, has been highly praised by Standard Life’s Heads of Marketing and Group Property. For our part, it was a fascinating project to be part of and one that allowed us to further extend our technical and creative talents.
